Believe it or not, NASA makes some of the very best infographics around. NASA understand that their subject matter is often over the heads of the average person who may not possess the interest to wade through pages of written information to receive the knowledge. Instead, NASA will often present a complex (or not too interesting) subject and condense it into an infographic.
NASA knows that a pictorial infographic can be easily read, understood and digested by the end user. I often wonder why Learning & Development produces pages and pages of text which is often not read buy the learner and is definitely not absorbed. Infographics should be used sparingly but can impart a great amount of technical knowledge in a really engaging way for the learner. Something that the learner actually wants to read. We should use them more often!
